This 30,000-word corporate history book celebrates the 50-year anniversary of Autex, a successful local manufacturer and exporter. Tracing 50 years of innovation, ups and downs, and ultimate triumph.

The design brief; to pull all of the historical elements together in a stylish and user friendly style. Collating years of scrapbook style photographs, newspaper clippings and friendly interview stories.

The design has a strong use of typography, and a minimal design space. As the book is small, smart use of white space was important, along with block colour (Brand colour) and a rhythmic page flow to insure a relaxed, coffee table style read.

Design devices such as large pull quotes typographically displayed over a whole page, or descriptive photo captions mean the reader can pick up and enjoy small doses of the book. Rather than a front to back read.
